He is an abstract painter in a true sense. His concept as well as technique both is abstract. Some of his contemporaries make use of abstract technique; however, subject-wise they paint human figure or landscapes inclining towards the socio-cultural aspect of Nepal. However, Khadka depicts subject that is abstract such as the wholeness of existence and emergence of consciousness with deep research. And his application and depiction of forms are also abstract. The artist believed that in order to understand the intricacies of life, one has to go through and beyond the intellect and understand the no mind state of being. He concludes that in this state lies an absolute experience of life and the existence in its purest grandeur. The theme he was working on before he departed from the world was ‘The Wholeness’. He passed away in 2016 A.D.
